Applications to the public consultation promoted by the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) are open until September 15th. This aims to identify the current status of water resources in Central America and Caribbean region. The outcome will be an additional contribution to the Report from Region Americas, coordinated by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), within the framework of the Regional Process Commission. The document will be presented during the 8th World Water Forum, which will be held in Brasília on March 18th to 23rd, 2018. The online survey is available in English and Spanish languages.
The questions seek to identify actions in relation to water resources and its sustainability, as well as, related initiatives (actions, projects and programs of local, national and regional interest). In addition to contributing to the aforementioned document, the information you share will eventually be considered for presentations in panels, sessions, posters, exhibitions, during the Forum.
This consultation process aims the greatest number of possible responses, involving all relevant actors to the thematic issues in the region. The quality of the responses will be evaluated, considering the different experiences shared by the various actors consulted. The results will be consolidated in a joint effort under the coordination of IICA, in cooperation with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Global Water Partnership (GWP).
