Ana Fioreze is the Deputy Superintendent of Operations and Critical Events at the Brazilian National Water Agency (ANA). She is an Agronomist specialized in Water Resources Management, and holds an MSc in Water and Soil. Her current position includes activities related to reservoir operation, drought monitoring and mitigation, river floods monitoring and resilience building, and water adaptation to climate change. Before that, she worked with the ANA’s Strategic Management, supporting the Board of Directors in different water matters and strategic planning.
She has been part of Brazilian Government efforts to develop the National Adaptation Plan to Climate Change and is a focal point for its Water Resources Strategy. She also took part of the studies on Water Resources Governance in Brazil, carried out jointly by ANA and OECD for more than two years. Prior to joining ANA, Ana Fioreze was the manager in charge of water allocation and water use grant rights in the State of Goiás – Brazil.
