CITIZEN’S FORUM – OPEN CALL
Registrations for the second call of the Citizen’s Forum opened on November 4. Entries can be submitted to evaluation through the online form available on this website. For more details about the call and the selection criteria, go to the document produced by the Citizen’s Forum Process, available in Portuguese and in English.
Sixty initiatives will be chosen to compose the “Solution Market”, a space within the Citizen Village of the 8th World Water Forum. There are two formats available for applications: individual booths or electronic panels. The proposals must necessarily be submitted in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
Remember that for individual booths, each participant will be responsible for the material displayed in their space and the presentation itself during the Forum. We recommend the electronic panels for applicants who are unable to attend the Forum, but would like to showcase their initiatives.
The Evaluation Committee will review applications in December 2017 according to the following criteria: coherence – sustainability, social technology and local resources; practicability and innovation; and relevance. The results will be published in January 2018, on the Forum’s website and social media.

First Open Call
Emails were sent to key actors around the world in January 2017 so that they could propose activities and initiatives that seek solutions based on socio-environmental technologies. These will be presented during the 8th World Water Forum.
The first call remained open until February 28, 2017. Proposals have been reviewed as to their coherence, practicality, and relevance. The second phase will take into account the proposals’ feasibility and financial criteria. The selected proposals are already being invited to participate in the Citizen’s Forum.
